Bisazza’s Trame: Unique, Sophisticated, Contemporary
Trame is a collection of tile ‘carpets’ that consists of three minimalist designs: Sahara, Stripes and Kirgil. An innovative flooring concept derived from Acromi tiles, Bisazza’s first fine porcelain ceramic series is a clever technical blend of decorative laser-cutting and mosaic envisioned by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. Following detailed technical research and testing by Bisazza, these new decorative floorings offer a unique and sophisticated solution for contemporary spaces.
Antonio Citterio remarked about Trame:
“Embarking on a project with Bisazza – a name synonymous with excellence in handmade décor – meant using decorative materials to give floorings a specific geometry, a spirit of architectural space, and an expression of its formal nature.
The Acromi project represents Bisazza’s ability to instil a signature style in ceramics through the cross-fertilisation of techniques and a deep knowledge of colour. The Trame collection gives these strong, purposely unpretentious materials a chance to be delicately beautiful.
Intentionally primitive and raw, and echoing a genuine handmade craftsmanship linked to a culture of the elements rather than language, the Trame ceramic carpet project is a testament to the fact that by simply aspiring to beauty, and pursuing harmony in form-making, anything that is done by man can become art.”
